Mag Love

Inspired today by house magazines, I plan on doing another tear-through of my collection to get some concrete plans out of the ideas in my head. So I thought I'd share some - today it is this kid's room feature from Feb's Australian House & Garden... (a mag I only occasionally buy, when something grabs me)

Some gorgeous colour combos in there, and I really love love love the Catherine Martin designed rug, despite it being crazy expensive. Ash's room doesn't need decorating actually. But I have a thing for those full-scale silhouette designs, I think I'll work one in somewhere around the house. Maybe even one of Catherine Martin's wallpaper designs, if I can swing it. I do love them. And we already have some Porter's Paints rooms here (kitchen, foyer, Sienna's room).

The boat is cool, though, as Ash DOES have a nautical obsession of late, following on from the pirate thing. Anchors are hot right now ;)

To do: black chalkboard paint doors in the kitchen - both the bathroom door and Ash's bedroom door. Also strip the carpet off the stairs, paint them perhaps and add tread. Move mirror to hall-wall between lounge and kitchen. Make large photo art for above mantle, replacing mirror. For starters.
