Anyone want a bratty almost-2 year old boy?

Ash just climbed on top of something he shouldn't have, got to the my bookshelf and broke the vintage polaroid camera that was there on display. The camera that started my vintage camera collection, that I purchased at an auction 8 years ago.

Yesterday he woke me up by climbing on top of me, leaning over for a cuddle and then biting me - hard - on the shoulder.

In other news, here is my layout for Kate Mason's sketch on Sketches Oz - loved playing with this one. This American Crafts paper is one of my new faves, I've already used both sheets I bought of it. This fortnight's sketch is sponsored by Fireside, with one of their fab candlelit kits up for grabs, so why not give it a go! It's done!

Well, it's done. Sent. On it's way through the air to the U.S.A. My Memory Makers Masters entry that is... Cool, now I can forget about it until late August when the winners are announced, and I can share the layouts here :)

Speaking of which, I have a few I forgot / missed sharing from the past month or so. This first one is a page I did in my art journal, which is about 9"x9", and then ripped out and stuck on PP to make it a 12" layout, LOL.


The second one I did for a SC commission and then didn't like it enough to send off for publication, and made a different layout to replace it.

This canvas is of our niece Alisha, the baby girl of one of Ben's stepsisters. I did this 3 months ago as part of that comp I mentioned last post. Bec and Matt, Alisha's parents, have it now, I believe.

In other home-oriented news, I finally covered my scrap chair seat. It was all raw hessian and springs, now covered in satin from a vintage cheongsam. Sienna has been pretending to be Lola (from Charlie and Lola), telling us Ben is 'Charlie' and Ash is 'Soren Lorensen'. I am, apparently, 'mum' - instead of mummy which is my actual name. Hmm I think Charlie is older than mum, not sure how that works, but Sienna doesn't seem concerned by it. She told a little girl at the shops this morning "I'm Lola" and the little girl introduced herself in return. Very funny. The bonus is that if I ask 'Lola' to do something, she is far more likely to obey than if I ask Sienna.

Aren't these three a bit cute?

Sounds like something I yell across the house regularly, especially on Tuesdays! Sienna, share. Alannah, share. Ash, share. Jude, share. You get the idea. But actually I have a couple of older layouts to share.

This one is about a month old I think? Not sure. Anyhow this was just for the fun of playing with supplies - love the Hambly transparency as always, you can get it here, and those Crafty Matters bird and flower tiles, and to use this photo of my gorgeous friend Viv. I had it set aside for my Memory Makers submission, but Ben and I put them all up on the mantlepiece the other day as one had to get cut, and this one got cut. So I can share :)

See the blue stamping at the right side? Love that ink, it is a Doodlebug one that I picked up at From Picture 2 Page. Great news - Kell is getting the inks for Kiti Q! Woohoo! They are on their way, so soon I will be stamping in red, and green, and blue...

This is one I did in March for a comp, it didn't win (obviously I'd have mentioned it!) but they reserved entries for 3 months, so I haven't shared it until now.

As promised... Concertina album

This is the Creative Imagin- ations boxed concertina album decorated with the Making Memories Funky Vintage range from the Paper Pesto July kit.

I figured these colours were the closest I'd get to heritage, so I made the album about my Grandma and Poppa as a gift for my Auntie Sue. Lots of pretty cool old photos from the 40s and some earlier than that. I love the boardwalk pics, one of my Poppa and his brother Albert, one of Poppa and Grandma when they were courting.
