Elly and Amy - a house on a hill

My second and third sessions were almost two-in-one: two sisters, each with their own families, photos of the cousins together, plus a couple of shots with nan and the kids :) It was at a house in the beautiful Hunter Valley with a wooden swing, a fairy garden, some vintage features (like a little timber boat and a metal car), and a river running by at the bottom of the property... just lovely! This first set of sneak peeks are from Elly's gallery. Elly received her session as a gift from her family - isn't that so sweet?!

I have spiffy postcard vouchers for the purpose, but in this case I emailed a printable postcard voucher to save time, which is always possible, you only need to ask :) Curiouser gift vouchers can be used for any service or product on offer, including sessions, prints, packages, art prints and cards, wall art, etsy items, market items, design services...

Sneak peeks for Kate!

On Friday I landed in Newcastle at 1:30, took AGES to get my hire car but was on the road by 2:30pm, giving me plenty of time to meander up to the Hunter Valley for my first photo session... Kate is the lovely lady who had the brilliant idea of bringing me up here to do photography, which I am ever grateful for as I love exploring new pastures, however briefly!

I am in the airport at Newcastle at the moment, with plenty of time before my flight home, gifts for the kids (and hubby) safely in suitcase. I'll post more sneak peeks and more about my weekend later :)

First day of school

4 weeks ago it was the first day of school - for Ash his first day of prep and for Sienna of grade 2. Everything went pretty smoothly and Ash in particular has settled in really well, better than expected. I was really impressed that straight away Ash got in the habit of packing his bag up himself and walking out of the classroom at the end of the day (something Sienna still struggles with!). They're awesome kids, so cute here hugging each other in front of our chalkboard doors in the kitchen :)

Even so, last week I joined the principal and the DEECD rep to lodge his application for funding - the speech therapist had diagnosed him with a severe receptive and pragmatic language disorder, and he's also had some behavioural issues, so we have our fingers crossed that his application is successful. It would make such a difference to his learning if an adult is constantly available to explain things to him one-on-one!

New canvases!

I was really excited after the berry canvas was so successful to introduce these photo canvases to my portrait and wedding customers. First up, Clare and Nathan who received this lovely canvas this week - I hope they love it!
